NY adopted CCSS for math/ELA January 2011; Board of Regents adopted revised 'Next Generation Learning Standards' September 2017, substantially retaining CCSS content with revisions/clarifications; phased classroom implementation and Regents exam alignment continued through 2022-2026 (ELA Regents aligned June 2026; Algebra II Regents aligned June 2026) but the underlying standards themselves have not been further revised; never repealed.
