WA formally adopted CCSS for ELA/Math in 2011 (assessed since 2014-15) and still administers them as CCSS-based 'WA State Learning Standards.' A statewide Learning Standards Review is revising both: Math is in initial adoption/implementation (survey Dec 2025-Feb 2026); ELA's initial adoption survey ran Mar-May 2026 with formal adoption expected Summer 2026 — not yet finalized as of this writing.

Repealed

Adopted CCSS 2010 within the Alabama College- & Career-Ready Standards; 2019 board vote ended Common Core - replaced by 2019 Math COS (eff. 2021-22) and 2021 ELA COS (eff. 2022-23).
