MD adopted CCSS in June 2010 as the Maryland College and Career-Ready Standards (MCCRS), implemented SY2013-14. Mathematics standards were substantially revised (adopted by the State Board July 29, 2025), moving the high school sequence toward Integrated Algebra I/II; ELA standards were also revised and adopted July 29, 2025 following review by the Standards and Frameworks Validation Committee (SFVC). Both remain branded 'College and Career Ready Standards,' not renamed as wholly independent state standards.
